5 Easy Steps To Posting Time Coded Videos From YouTube Into Your eBay Listings
So you’ve come on to Collectors Hangout weekly show or your item has been featured on the show and now you want to feature that portion of the video on eBay. How do you do this? Well the bad news is that eBay doesn’t exactly make this really easy, but the good news is we are going to help simplify this as much as possible for you!
The fact of the matter is that to show the portion of the show that you’ve been on Collectors Hangout is a matter of knowing the time in seconds for when you want the video to start where you are featuring your specific items.
1. For example to showcase the portion of the show where I showcased a missed stamped coin for a retired couple in Durham I took a look at the original show here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlP-xxbisXA
2. I had to go to the portion of the show where I was showcasing the mint error quarter which was found and paused the video.
(As you can see in the picture, to get the link with the exact time to start where you are showcasing you must check the box that I’ve circled)
4. After finding the time I converted the time to all seconds so that I could use the correct html script which you can find below. **Notice that you can use these same code, but you need to make sure to change the portions of the code to reflect the correct YouTube video and time code for your specific showcase. For your ease of reference, these items are marked in bold below in the code below**
<object width=”640″ height=”360″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/RlP-xxbisXA&start=1813?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0″></param><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always”></param><embed src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/RlP-xxbisXA&start=1813?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0″ type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” width=”640″ height=”360″ allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true”></embed></object>
5. You’ll copy the entire code that you see above and paste it into your eBay listing by selecting “Switch to HTML editor.” If you’ve done everything right you’ll get the resulting video that you see below pasted into your eBay listing or on your website.
Please let me know if you have questions about these instructions in the comments below, or come on one of our upcoming shows and we can discuss it there as well.
