In this episode of Collectors Hangout we were able to do a very special episode with Steve Mapes. Steve and his twin brother have been collecting Transformer action figures and memorabilia since 1986. Steve shows us a couple of the Transformer lucky draw figures that they have in their collection including the prize figure from Beast Wars II, Lio Convoy (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Lio_Convoy); a gold chrome Starscream with the prize letter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starscream); and what presentation would be complete without Optimus Prime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimus_Prime)? Except this is one of only 88 that were produced! Steve shares with us a rare story display from Japan complete with inflatable Unicron and cardboard cutouts along with original scripts and show notes. We close out the show taking a look at Transformers Generations Swerve Autobot that I had previously purchased at Toys R’ Us and how toys like Transformers can either depreciate in value or increase in value.
If you didn’t catch the live broadcast and you love Transformers, you’ll defiantly want to watch this episode!
Again a big thanks to Steve for helping to make this special episode possible. Be sure to check out Steve Mapes at:

Again we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled weekly show on January 8, 2013. Have a safe and happy New Year!
